Mac Millie is back with his sophomore release, Furious Stylez . . .
Heavily working in the MADDLABB Studio’s in Chicago with composer and producer, S7NLEE. It’s offering you some of everything musically. Mac takes on the Laurence Fishburne character from the movie Boys In the Hood. But Furious’s style and look doesn’t match the heat Mac is spitting over the MADDTRAXX S7N submitted for the project. Mac wants you rewinding his verses after a listen. It’s the hidden bars he carefully plants throughout a song that has you repeating it. Tediously lacing each line with witty, three denominational metaphors and catchy punch lines.
Mac always studying the game constantly. Listening to the greats like we all have coming up in big cities. And if you study the greats you gotta be doing something good. When he’s writing he searches for ways on how to approach each new song different than the last. Mash that together with S7NLEE’s original production and you got the makings of a monumental classic. Underground that is . . . indy living. The album is due out late September. Via iTunes, Tidal, Google Play, Amazon Music, etc.
I like to think that everything happens for a reason.
So back on the 7th of June, of all days. Lol I’m sitting parked in my truck on the south side of Chicago. Waiting on my son while he’s at track practice. I doze off only to be awakened by a big bang! As I open my eye’s I’m instantly seeing the truck move. I barely see debris in the air, but I feel it. As I quickly come to my senses. I realize that I’ve been hit by another car. I stay put for a second cause I’m thinking to my self, “should I get out”.
My son run’s to me inside the truck to see if I’m alright. He tells me the door is tore up and it won’t open. I’m like, “are you kidding me”. The whole time I’m wondering how bad it is. I literally had to climb over the middle arm rest to get out of the truck. As I get out everyone is running over to check on me. No one knew I was inside the truck. I’m walking around trying to make sure I was ok. As I walked around to the other side of the truck, I see the damage. Wow! It’s worst than I thought. I hear nearby witnesses saying the guy that hit me and another SUV parked directly behind me. Jumped out of the car and ran! But wait . . . he came back to the scene to retrieve something out of the car. Once he got it, he then ran away again. Lol
This is when someone manage to take a picture of him. You see how the devil will do ya.
I’m so blessed to walk away from this accident in good health. It could’ve been worst than this. God is good all the time I tell you. Cause I realized, I was reclined in my seat inside the truck sleep when it happened. So where most of the damage was done, that’s where my head was placed when I was laying back in the seat. It’s crazy out here in these streets. I was just minding my business, parked waiting on my son. And then, here’s the icing on the cake. The car was stolen! Wait, what? Yeah, the damn car was stolen. But they did catch the guy.
I say everything happens for a reason. Since the accident, I’ve been catching up in the studio. Making new MADDTRAXX for the site and what not. of which I’ve been way behind on. Hoping on getting the truck by July 5th. It’s been a long time coming.
Everyone comes to the fork in the road sometime. When you have to make that important decision that will effect your life. This Chicago native, singer/song writer wrote a song about that very thing. The first lead single from her self titled album Sophie S,“Crossroads” produced by S7NLEE. The album features production from Chicago producer, Stasia Beats. Someone who knows how to cook up heat on production. If your looking for that flavor check out her website. (click on her name) The album due out late July, early August.
Sophie S holds all the jewels. Beauty, vocals and the gift to weave words together to create songs. It was her song writing that lead on the introduction from S7NLEE.
“It’s a rare find these day’s to run into a good song writer”
said S7NLEE. The single is streaming now via: iTunes, Amazon Music, Sound Cloud and Google Music. Spread the word and support for this up coming artist out of the Go-ILL.
